Twenty-Two Questions &
Answers About Buying And Owning A Personal Protection Dog
For You And Your Family.
"We practice with our
firearms. We take our guns to the range. We make sure they
don't jam, and if they do jam with regularity, we sell them... "
"Yet every year, hundreds of
thousands of dog owners assume that their untrained, untested dog will help
defend them against a bad guy. Most will be sadly disappointed.
Here's why..."

Imagine that it's late at
night. You're home alone when you suddenly hear the sound of breaking
glass downstairs... Your canine companion however, continues to slumber at the
foot of your bed.
"Great," you think to yourself,
"Somebody just broke into my house and Fido won't even wake
up!"
You give Fido a nudge as if to say,
"Go on boy... go check it out!"
He finally jumps to attention when you
start to hear the shuffle of the intruder's feet as he starts to make his way
toward the bottom of your staircase.
Thankfully, Fido runs down the
steps, boldly managing a high-pitched bark... when suddenly...
<SMACK!>
... Fido runs back into your
bedroom with his tail between his legs, whimpering.
The footsteps keep coming...
You think to
yourself:
"Oh, %@#$%!" This isn't
happening!
This SHOULD NOT be
happening!!!
I bought a German Shepherd/
Rottweiler / Doberman to prevent this type of thing from
happening!!!"
But guess what? It is
happening.
And it happens to a lot of
people.
"If You Think That Buying A Guard Dog
Breed-- Without Training Or Proper Selection-- Is Going To Be Enough To Protect
You And Your Family... You're Playing Russian Roulette With Your Personal
Safety."
A similar scenario happened to a friend of
mine, several years ago. She was raped-- in her own bed by a man who broke
into her house-- while her large, untrained German Shepherd dog laid passively
at the foot of her nightstand-- in conflict (and not knowing how to
respond). It's called "bite inhibition"... and most dogs are born with
it.
It happens. And it probably happens
with a lot more frequency than you might expect.
So, what can you do to prevent yourself
from having false confidence in a dog you already own? And what
should you do if you're looking to buy a personal protection
dog? Please read on...

"Adam's knowledge of protection dogs
helped me pick out a Doberman Pinscher that later SAVED MY
LIFE!" -- Bill Embley, San Antonio, Texas.
"While remodeling a house in Houston, Texas, a
bald-headed thug with a tattoo on his neck entered the house where I was
working. He thought I was alone. But my Doberman surprised him,
cornered him, and wouldn't let him move. He threw up his hands and said,
'Just let me out of here, just let me out!' I didn't know if he had a
weapon, so I had my Doberman stay in front of me as I instructed the thug to run
out the side gate. I then called the police. "
"Unbelievably, they were able to set up a perimeter
and caught the guy, only three blocks away. They had to wrestle him to the
ground, and ended up booking him for resisting arrest, possesion of narcotics
and trespassing. Needless to say, that evening 'Cash' [the Doberman] ate
filet mignon!" -- Bill Embley and his Doberman Pinscher, Embley's
